Long Beach Lodge Wins Martini Migration

Brett Mullins, Kim Hamm and Liam Paul, all of the Long Beach Lodge Resort, won first place in the Pacific Rim Whale Festivals Martini Migration Wednesday night in Tofino. Shelter Restaurant placed second. Long Beach Lodge also took home the top prize for the best martini booth. The Spotted Bear Bistro won for the most original martini. I know the vast majority of Canadians and tourists would strongly disagree to Mr. Ashtons proposal to ban franchise restaurants.

John de Vries, of Tourism Ucluelet, and Sarah Timberlake, of Tourism Tofino, were working together at the B.C. Boat and Sportsmens Show in Abbotsford this past weekend. It was great exposure for our communities with rack cards, maps, posters, bags, pens and DVDs on displayto those interested in visiting our region, said Devries.
